for you if…
- You feel like you’re doing everything right but still not thriving
- Maybe your bloodwork comes back normal — or you haven’t had testing done at all — but something still feels off
- You’re tired of guessing which supplements are actually right for your body
- You want real data, not another protocol to try
- You’re ready to understand what your body actually needs — not what works for everyone else
HTMA gives you a starting point built on your biology, not guesswork.
What is HTMA?
A window into what’s happening inside
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a non-invasive lab test that measures the mineral content stored in your hair over a 2–3 month period. Unlike blood tests that capture a single moment in time, HTMA gives us a broader picture of how your body has been functioning.
Minerals are the spark plugs of the body. They regulate everything from energy production and hormone balance to sleep, mood, and immune function. When they’re out of balance — even slightly — you feel it.
HTMA helps us see exactly where those imbalances are, so we can address them with targeted nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle support — specific to you.
What gets measured
HTMA assesses minerals, heavy metals, and the ratios between them — giving a picture no single supplement can guess at.

Stop guessing.
Start knowing.
Most people spend years trying supplements that weren’t chosen for their actual body chemistry. HTMA gives you the data to change that — so every recommendation has a reason behind it.
Real data, not guesswork
Your recommendations are based on your actual mineral levels — not general wellness advice or trial and error.
Personalized to your life
Diet, supplements, and lifestyle guidance tailored to where you are right now — pregnancy, postpartum, or everyday wellness.
Support from someone who gets it
As a mom of three and a chiropractor, I understand the demands on your body. This isn’t just clinical — it’s personal.
The process
Simple from start to finish
Three steps, done mostly from home. No lab visits, no lengthy appointments.

After signing up, you’ll receive a simple collection kit in the mail. A small hair sample from the nape of your neck is all we need — it takes two minutes at home.
Your sample is analyzed
Your hair is sent to a certified lab where it’s tested for minerals, heavy metals, and key ratios. Results are returned within 2–3 weeks and reviewed in detail by Dr. Kirsten.

You receive a video walkthrough of your results plus a 12-week diet, supplement, and lifestyle plan — built specifically for your body, your minerals, and your goals.

Why I offer this
Why I offer HTMA alongside chiropractic care
In practice, I work with a lot of women who are doing everything right — eating well, moving their bodies, getting adjusted — and still not feeling the way they want to. Their standard labs come back normal. They’ve tried various supplements. And yet something is still off.
When I discovered HTMA, it made immediate sense to me. Minerals govern so much of how the body functions — energy, sleep, mood, hormone balance, stress response. And a simple hair sample can reveal imbalances that routine bloodwork misses entirely.
I trained in HTMA because I believe in testing before recommending. I don’t want my patients guessing at supplements or cycling through protocols that weren’t designed for their body. HTMA gives us a real starting point — and a plan that’s actually tailored to what’s going on.

Common questions
Everything you’re wondering
Is HTMA safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Yes — collecting a hair sample is completely non-invasive. HTMA is particularly valuable during and after pregnancy, when mineral depletion is common and can significantly affect how you feel.
How much hair do I need to provide?
Only about a tablespoon-sized amount, cut from the nape of your neck. If your hair is very short, samples can be collected from other areas. Full instructions are included in your kit.
How is this different from a blood test?
Blood tests reflect what’s circulating at one moment in time. HTMA measures what’s been stored in your tissue over 2–3 months, giving a longer-term picture of your mineral status and metabolic patterns — including things that don’t always show up in standard bloodwork.
Do I need to be a chiropractic patient to participate?
No — the HTMA program is open to anyone. You don’t need to be a current patient of Dr. Kirsten’s chiropractic practice.
How long does the whole process take?
From sign-up to receiving your personalized plan is typically 4–5 weeks, including lab processing time. Your 12-week plan then begins once you receive your results.
What if I have questions along the way?
Your package includes a 15-minute intake consultation, a full video results review, and email support. This isn’t a report you receive and figure out alone — you’ll have Dr. Kirsten’s guidance throughout.
Is this covered by insurance?
HTMA is not typically covered by extended health benefits. Some plans may partially cover nutritional consultation — check with your provider.
